Madeleine Fia Matsson was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and after 13 years in NYC is back in her homeland living in the woods of Hälsningland. She received her MFA in painting from the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture, and her BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
